Date - Sunday October 16 - Shanghai, China - Fernando Alonso won the Chinese F1 Grand Prix and in doing so has won the constructor’s title for Renault after de-throning Michael Schumacher of the driver’s championship in September.
For pictures and the more race reviews click here.
Renault finished the season on 191 points with Mclaren-Mercedes coming in second on 182. The past season, 2005, was the longest ever in Formula One history with 19 races and added to this is the fact that Fernando Alonso is the youngest ever FOrmula One World Champion; and guess who his team boss, Flavio Briatore, used to manage? The recently disappointing Michael Schumacher when he used to race for Benetton at the very start of his F1 career, of course. Indeed I have to add that the only sensible explanation for his bad form is the car his driving at the moment which cannot be doing any good for his motivation or confidence. Makes one think about how good a team boss and talent-spotter Flavio Briatore is.
The victory in Shanghai was the 7th for Alonso but this only equalled the number of wins for second place finisher in the race as well as the driver’s championship, Kimi Raikkonen. Alonso won this championship because the Renault was that much more reliable and consistent than the Mclaren-Mercedes but Alonso added, “I am a little bit frustrated that I only won seven races…I think the car had the potential to win 10 or 11.” Who would have thought a French car would be more reliable than a Merc? And I have no doubt in my mind that this form in Formula One has translated into a worldwide sales increase for Renault.
The race in Shanghai was definitely incident filled with no shortage of entertainment. The Safety Car had to be called out twice; on lap 30 for Narain Karthikeyan’s accident in turn 13 in his Jordan, which had a few flames flicking about and also earlier, believe it or not, for 6 laps while marshalls fixed a drain cover that had come loose and ultimately ended Juan Pablo Montoya’s race.
Michael Schumacher’s race also ended early after he first collided with Felipe Massa in his Sauber on the way to the starting grid and then spinning off while following the Safety Car.
Jordan is no more, at least not in F1. The team has been bought by the Russian-born Canadian billionaire Alex Shnaider and will be called Midland from next year onwards. This was their 250th grand prix race in Formula One.
BAR is also out and the outfit will now be wholly owned by Honda and Sauber has been bought by BMW who were previously the engine partners of Williams.

The bride was radiant, the groom sober, the father of the bride managing to look prosperous, and the children under five uniformly cheerful. In short, a perfect wedding. But as the bride and groom inclined their faces towards each other in that momentous ritual of a first kiss as husband and wife, there were those hateful words from some one pretending to be whispering, ‘That whole ceremony must have taken all of five minutes!’
How crass! Putting a time element on such a highly charged emotional experience as a wedding.
Do you hear anyone complaining that a sonnet has only fourteen lines, and how more perfect it would be if had three hundred and sixty five lines?
And how about those Parliamentary question sessions? Does anyone ever manage to stay awake long enough to find out what the question was, let alone complain about the shortness of the answer?
So what is it about the shortness of a wedding ceremony that so many people take exception to? Is it something to do with the perceived value for money? And those present feel short-changed because the ceremony finished too soon?
Is it really the fault of the couple, or is it more likely that while the ceremony was in progress the complaining guests were checking their text messages, waving at friends across the aisle, comparing the standard of dress worn by the groom’s side of the family as opposed to those worn by the bride’s?
One thing for certain, their mind wasn’t on the ceremony if the only thing they remember about it is its length.
Who can ever forget Churchill’s awesome rhetoric, ‘we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.’
Thirty-five words in all. Thirty-five words that have been for ever inscribed in the pages of history. Thirty-five words in all. Yet who can ever forget them?
Ah, but had you the misfortune of attending the Parliament house and listened not to those thirty-five heart-wrenching words, but to the whole 3,768 words which comprised the total speech, would you still feel the same? Or would you be inclined to agree with the Opposition that old Winnie was getting too big for his breeches, and didn’t he just love to hear his own voice!

It is a good idea to purchase a full set including a comforter when buying waterbed sheets. Buying waterbed sheet sets is more economical than buying all of the components separately. Getting a comforter along with the sheets allows for more versatility with the bed and keeps the owner from having to buy a separate blanket for use during the cold months of the year. Also, it is much easier to purchase a full sheet set that includes a matching comforter than it is to find a matching comforter separately. Waterbed sheet sets are available in all major fabrics and for all sizes of waterbed.
The unique styling of waterbed sheets is something that necessitates purchasing them in sets. Instead of buying the fitted sheet separately from the flat sheets, as is often done with conventional sheets, waterbed sheets often come with the fitted and flat sheets connected to each other. With many waterbed sheet sets, the flat sheet is sewn to the center of the foot of the fitted sheet. This makes it easier for people to make the bed, as they do not constantly have to tuck the flat sheet into the foot of the bed. This is an added advantage for waterbeds with wooden frames because they often leave little room for sliding hands and fingers around the mattress to make the bed. Another unique feature of waterbed sheets is that the fitted sheet often has corner flaps that hold the sheet in place and keep it from slipping while people sleep on it.
It is advisable to buy a sheet set that includes a comforter. A matching or complimentary comforter adds style to the sheet set and provides warmth on cold nights. It is easier to buy a comforter with the sheets than it is to find one that matches, especially for sheets with unique colors or patterns that may be difficult to match. Another advantage to buying a waterbed sheet and comforter is that they are usually less expensive when purchased together, as main reason that sheet sets are sold is to provide buyers with a good deal. When purchased all together, sheet sets can save the buyer almost a third of the cost of the all of the components bought separately.
Waterbed sheet sets provide convenience and value to consumers. They feature all of the things that waterbed owners need for their bed in one package, and a waterbed sheet set and comforter provides even more value.
Water Bed Sheets provides detailed information on waterbed sheets and discount waterbed sheets, as well as waterbed sheet sets, sizes and materials. Water Bed Sheets is the sister site of Down Comforters Web.
Most of us are true novices when it comes to shopping for
diamond rings and other jewelry. There’s a lot that goes into
the process of evaluating the relative worth of diamonds,
primarily centered around what are called the ‘4 C’s’ (clarity,
cut, color, carat-weight). Unless you’ve bought a number of
diamonds, chances are you’re more or less clueless. That’s
certainly a common occurrence, so don’t feel bad!
Here are three easily remembered tips for the next time diamond
ring shopping confronts you. Print this out or jot them down and
keep in your wallet or purse. Assuming you remember you did so
when the moment arrives, you’ll be armed with the basic
knowledge necessary to avoid being taken to the cleaners by a
clever jewelry shop salesperson.
Tip #1 - Always Get a Guarantee
This is a must. Never ever, under any circumstances, take the
word of a diamond jewelry “expert” in a store on the value of a
diamond (loose or in a setting). The shifty ones prey on excited
customers who are novices and, thus, prone to making impulse
purchases. Even if the seller offers official-looking paperwork
as proof of the diamond’s quality, demand an ironclad written
guarantee. If they balk, leave and shop elsewhere.
Tip #2 - Don’t Let Size Decide
If there’s one enduring myth about buying diamond rings and
other jewelry, it’s that big diamonds are always worth more. In
fact, the exact opposite is often true! Remember the ‘4 C’s’
mentioned earlier. Carat-weight is just one of four. A simple
example will suffice to illustrate this point. If you have the
choice between a large diamond that rates lower on clarity and
color than one with the same cut that’s smaller but has a higher
rating on clarity and color, choose the smaller option. The
overall quality of the smaller diamond almost always makes it
worth more as a long-term investment than the lesser quality big
one. The bottom line: only let carat-weight decide if the
clarity and color of two diamonds are identical (or at least
very close).
Tip #3 - Ignore the Ring
This one trips up a lot of impulse buyers who fall in love with
the ring setting, to the point of virtually ignoring the diamond
it holds. If you remember one simple fact, you might be able to
keep a rein on your emotions: diamonds are forever; settings can
be changed easily. Don’t let the ring itself distract you from
the primary concern, which is the quality and long-term value of
the diamond that the ring merely holds in place.
Of course, at the end of the day, you have to really love what
you’re buying. If you see a diamond ring you just have to have,
you can ignore all of this and go for it. If you have the
monetary means, why not, right? But, for the vast majority of
us, following the simple tips outlined above will prevent a
disaster in the making. Good luck!

It’s less than one month away before many kids and students will be out of school for the 2006 summer season, and if you don’t know exactly where to take your family this year for vacation, consider taking a cheap cruise holiday!
With gas prices going through the roof, many families may be reconsidering their vacation plans, and when you have been budgeting for your family trip, taking a cruise may be your best value for your buck.
Holidays are something we all look forward to, whether they’re for winter or summer, and when you finally have the time to take the entire family on a holiday, you want to have the best overall experience.
Finding A Cheap Holiday Is Easy If You Change Your Holiday!
Consider getting away from the traditional vehicle trip to the Theme Parks, or traditional annual camping trip! If you’re looking to do something different this year, and you live in a cruise port city that offers many exciting cruises on select cruise ships to the Caribbean or Mexico, you may be pleasantly surprised on the cruise prices and the incredible discounts they offer for the summer season.
You and your family can enjoy an inclusive cruising experience and voyage to many exotic islands, Mexican historical cities and more! Even though this is your vacation, it can also be an educational experience for the children and you as well.
For The Price of A Road Trip You Can Easily Cruise In Exotic Vacation Style!
Many cruise lines like Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean offer deep summer discounts to the Caribbean and Mexican destinations, and with summer being their low season, families can take advantage of these savings. With that in mind, families and individuals that live near a cruise port, virtually everything is covered in your cruise package, such as your accommodations, most if not all meals and beverages, and fantastic daily and nightly entertainment.
For families that don’t live in a city with access to a cruise port, summer deals from cruise companies usually provide extremely low airfare cruise packages, that can easily cost less than your Theme Park family vacation!
If you don’t believe me, consider the fact that once you get to the Theme Parks of your choice, you have to think about your vehicle transportation to and from your hotel if you are far from the park property, plus all your meals, beverages, and entertainment costs for the entire family. These expenses can add up very quickly, and in most cases are very difficult to budget for on vacation, because the saying goes, “when you’re on vacation, you normally spend more than you budget for in the beginning.”
With summer cruising, you arrive on the ship, your bags are taken directly to your room by the ship’s courteous staff, and all you have to do is get ready to hit the cruise ship’s spectacular buffet prior to leaving your port to the first exciting destination on your cruising itinerary.
If You Think The Kids Will Be Bored While Cruising, Think Again!
Even though cruise destinations are the highlight of any cruising vacation, many families and individuals love to take cruises because of all the fun activities they offer, and while on board your ship, you and your children will have no problem finding things to do.
Cruise ships provide some of the best entertainment and kids services in the vacation market, and they cater to everyone including adults and your children alike! While you’re dreaming about the first exotic beach you will be arriving on shortly, the cruise ship has exciting and fun things to do that range from a variety of kids activities, outdoor sports competitions, to a variety of theme parties for all ages.
As your children are completely occupied, you can relax by the pool, or take in the many daily features such as Bingo, Casino, and even a therapeutic massage in their spa. When you start to miss the kids, all of you can meet to take in a fabulous lunch buffet and get re-fuelled for the rest of the day’s events that you can choose to take part in or not.
Remember this, when you plan your summer vacation you can truly have a family experience to remember when selecting a cruise vacation, and with the savings you will experience, you and your family won’t be talking this year about the hot dog that fell off the grill, or the fish that got away again. This summer you will be discussing how exciting it was to see the Mexican Mayan Ruins and all the other fabulous places, how delicious the gourmet cheesecake was for desert, and your family will be laughing all day about dad winning the belly flop contest at the ship’s poolside this year!

Easy-to-use natural skin care is safer, less expensive, and can be as easy as opening your kitchen cabinet, coupled with a few minutes of preparation. Healthy, radiant, glowing skin is something every person wants. Yet, few of us even think to use what’s really the best for out skin: natural skin care products.
Each year, millions of dollars are spent chasing after perfectly healthy, ageless skin. The environment, stress, and less than healthy eating habits, all play a major role in the quality of your skin.
The answers to achieving radiant, glowing complexion are within arm’s reach. Many of the items in your kitchen right now can provide natural skin care that’s even better thank those expensive, chemical filled products that cost an arm and a leg.
Skin Care Throughout Life
From the day we are born, our skin requires much care to remain smooth and healthy. It begins with soap to keep us clean. Then, there are creams, powders, and ointments to keep diaper rash from our bottoms. During the first few years of our lives, our skin will do well with soap for cleaning and the occasional lotion or cream for moisture. Then come the teen years. Our raging hormones bring out the oily skin, the pimples, and a host of other conditions.
It’s important to understand that everything that comes in contact with our body affects our health and the condition of our skin. That’s why choosing natural skin care products and ingredients is important. The liver filters the toxins and poisons from the food we eat, but whatever we place on our skin is directly absorbed. This includes deodorant, lotions, gels, cleansers, toners, make-up, perfumes, and more.
As we age, our skin becomes more sensitive, and we need to be even more careful with the beauty treatments we use.
Simple Solutions for Better Skin
Here are a just a few natural skin care solutions for you to try. You’ll be very pleased with the results:
* for a great moisturizer try olive oil: this healthy fat is good for you, and is great for your skin. You can also use it to soothe sunburned skin.
* once a week, rub your skin with baking soda while in the shower, for a smooth, silky feeling. You can also do this on your face to remove black heads.
* vinegar can work wonders for smelly feet and armpits. Mix water and vinegar 50/50, and use in place of deodorant: it will keep the unpleasant sweat smell away, without any irritation. As for your feet, if you suffer with athlete’s foot, a week of vinegar foot bath will help a lot, sometimes completely getting rid of your condition.
* fresh tomatoes are great for the oily areas of your face. (Please make sure to try the tomato juice on your arm first, as your skin may be sensitive to it). Rinse thoroughly immediately after using the tomato juice.
* egg yolk mixed with honey makes for a really great mask: put on your skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse off. Excellent for sensitive skin. Honey gives a tingling/ticklish sensation, so if you are sensitive to that, use the egg yolk alone.
* another use for egg yolk: for those with eczema, use it instead of soap. It doesn’t smell great, but it will heal your damaged skin.
* a great treatment for dry skin is avocados: mash it, smooth it onto your face, and rinse off after 20 minutes.

Children age two to five, live authentically, seldom afraid or embarrassed to seek out what they want or to speak their minds, unless they have been taught to fear or feel embarrassed to speak their truth.
Unfortunately, as children grow older, adults tend to instruct children to tuck that authenticity away, putting it aside and adapt to what is considered ‘normal’ in society. Normal is what the majority of people have decided is acceptable behavior. I am not referring to the social graces and appropriate manners, as well as integrity and ethics. I am talking about speaking your truth about who you truly arethose characteristics, behaviors, passions and visions that make you uniquely you. Without being who you truly are, you will live life afraid that it might hinder your success. If you are afraid to speak the truth about who you truly are, you will live life without discovering your full potential. Fortunately, we never fully abandon our authentic self. We may conform to society while embracing secret passions when alone. We may withhold certain opinions, though it doesn’t change the fact that we possess them.
It is important, however, to cultivate that youthful authenticity and self-interest for they are qualities that help make you who you truly are. The authentic you is your true self and, in living authentically, you live your truth, making time for the things you love and projecting who you truly are. The simplest way to live your truth is to leave the expectations of others behind and live the way you feel most worthwhile.
It is important to be self-focused in a healthy way by doing what you know is best for you, regardless of the opinions of others - even the opinions of close friends and family. Living authentically means that you make choices without fear, trusting in your soul’s wisdom. If you value personal pursuits, don’t feel forced into a certain job just to make enough money to keep up with your neighbors. Conversely, if you seek success in business, don’t let others’ perception of what’s right for you hold you back. Denying your unique truth can lead to feelings of failure and dissatisfaction because you aren’t acknowledging your true self. In living your truth, there are no pretenses. Everything you do reflects the choices you make.
If you are unsure who the authentic you truly is, look inward and ask yourself what your purpose, values, and needs are. Honor your strengths and don’t let yourself be guided by what others expect of you. Finally, discover your passions by doing new things, and sticking with those things that stir your soul. Finding who you truly are and then making the choice to embrace your true dreams and desires will take your life in a direction that is both satisfying and deeply meaningful.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” The Gospel of St. Thomas Logian
Unless you are willing to look into yourself, you will miss the opportunity to know the real youa life spent, not in living, but in keeping your feelings, desires and dreams at bay. If you look into yourself, you will confront your own, ‘enemy in the jungle.’ Unless you actively seek personal change through the hard work of introspection, you will, to some degree, have lived a non-authentic life and have been, to some degree, only a shadow of your true self. This, then, is your greatest personal tragedy.

Yachting as a sport, pursuit or used as a company instrument is highly fulfilling. There are also exceptional sailing & powerboat events that make it equally invigorating and can be something that the whole members of the family are able to go and take advantage of all at once. One of the most popular weeks of the yachting year is the Cowes Regatta Week; this boating event takes place every year and has been in action since eighteen twenty six that makes it the longest running sailing event at this moment. With more than 500 sailing yachts & 8,000 competitors partaking, being viewed by more than eighty-thousand spectators each day Skandia Cowes week has attained the merit as 1 of the key yachting corporate hospitality & social occurrence of the year.
The 8,500 contenders contain Olympic & European class qualified sailors to novice sailors. Nevertheless, if you are not chipping in yourself, watching the sailing, enjoying the festivities & live performers, & to witness the unique setting, makes it a one of a type corporate event.
With Ondeck Sailing & Powerboat School, two-thousands and eight embarks on the initiation of their hottest Regatta Division. Continuing on their outstanding position in the charter market, this has seen Ondeck run many thriving events for companies, they have just joined up with Britannia Events, the main organisers of industry regattas in the UK. Click here to find the best Cowes Week events with Ondeck Sailing.
The track of the race itself will fluctuate each day as reasons such as the climate status, tidal torrents & swiftness of each series of boat is taken into deciding. A usual Skandia Cowes Event has over thirty-five start offs each day for opponents of cruiser series one designs and keelboats; adding up to over a 1,000 powerboats. In this period the Solent which is an extensively busy merchant waterway, is full with powerboats of all categories and is principally vibrant in colour because of the boats spinnakers. As high lighted earlier on top of the sailing competitions the week incorporates a big number of onshore events such as live festivals and cocktail parties. From private or commercial residential parties & nominally private yacht clubs & boats, there are enormous marquees put up in the harbours giving out food & champagne.
One of the funniest and most beloved comedies of its era, the Cheers spin-off Frasier remained a lynchpin in the NBC lineup for much of the 1990s. Following the life of eminent psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane in the aftermath of his divorce from Lilith, Frasier takes place in Seattle, Washington where the title character lives with his handicapped father Martin, a retired police officer wounded in the line of duty. The two are joined by Daphne Moon, a live-in housekeeper and physical therapist, and Martin’s dog Eddie who is constant irritant to Frasier. Recurring characters include Frasier’s brother Niles and Frasier’s producer Roz Doyle…
The Frasier (Season 4) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including one episode (#77) where Niles’ head of hair becomes the good luck charm which turns the Sonics basketball season into one of playoff contention. Niles becomes an instant celebrity and wins over Marty’s approval… Bebe Neuwirth returns in her role as Frasier’s ex-wife, Dr. Lilith Sternin, in a special Thanksgiving episode where Frasier and Lilith join together to aid in Frederick’s admission to a prestigious school… In the season finale, a desparately single Frasier rushes to the airport to pick up a woman, Laura (Linda Hamilton), who mistakenly left a message on his answering machine…
