Posted by admin on December 12, 2008 in Internet Travel Resources, Regional Events etc.

Villa Vita Bella is a bed and breakfast in Catania, located in via Federico II di Svevia - San Gregorio di Catania

Villa Vita Bella is located in the center of San Gregorio, on the outskirts of the historical city of Catania on the western Sicilian coast.

The 1800’s estate was originally designed as a summer residence to prince Borghese. It has been named by the locals "Piano Paradiso" (Paradise Plain) to reflect the oasis of peace and serenity to be discovered behind the majestic and comforting walls that encircle the property.

Across the secular front gate, guests will find the impeccable private gardens and grand lawn, where shade-kissed benches offer the perfect setting for tranquil and restful afternoons.

The estate also comprises three main buildings that serve as living quarters and a 14th century church, a structure classified as a national monument. Because of its beauty and historical significance, at the request of San Gregorio’s mayor, every Easter Monday the church is open to the public. On that day guests can submerge themselves in century old traditions and celebrations that include the famous "Giostra del Saraceno".

Vita Bella guests can select between two alternative accommodations. Facing the gardens, guests can find an independent two-bedroom unit with a large living room and a fully functioning kitchen. In this independent unit our guests can enjoy the complete privacy as an independent house.
Also available to our guests, in the main building of the estate, is a large and comfortable bedroom with private bathroom and terrace. Our guests have also full access to the estate gardens, swimming pool, and reserved parking.

Hotel Sant’Angelo in Matera

Posted by admin on October 6, 2008 in Internet Travel Resources, Regional Events etc.

Matera is the city of the “Sassi” the charming ancient districts, which are an example of a unique and complex urban structure and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Matera is also host to over 100 rock churches, a testimony of the Greek-Byzantine Monastic civilizations which held a significant influence. It is the city of art and folklore, and is considered to be among one of the most ancient settlements in the world due to it being continuously inhabited by man, dating as far back as the Palaeolithic era. It is precisely in this ruprestian habitat in Matera’s famous Sassi that the enchanting Hotel Sant’Angelo was created.

The hotel is the result of painstaking preservation and renovation of over 1400 square meters including cave dwellings, pathways, stairways and courtyards. Matera Hotel Sant’Angelo is able to accommodate up to 45 guests distributed into 16 historical dwellings. We offer our guests a number of services for an unforgettable stay including: a restaurant with a warm rustic atmosphere perfect for enjoying the local lucanian specialties, two bars, furnished panoramic terraces, leisure halls, and an art gallery.

Reception is located on the ground floor, the entrance is from the common courtyard. Realized in a hypogeum area carved from the rock, external wall in the front area made from rough tufa walling, hypogeum ceilings with roman arches, and one pointed arch in the partition area between the entrance and the library; the atmosphere is covered in “Apricena” stone flooring. The bathrooms are all tiled in stone. The furniture has been carefully chosen to create a classic and elegant atmosphere.

The restaurant is found on the top floor and is made up of two connecting halls, with two independent entrances with windows above the doors. The Matera Hotel’s halls entirely made from hypogeum, with few walls, in the front area made from rough tufa walling, and of “Apricena” stone, with plastered internal walls in the entrance area and rough tufa walling to the rear.

From the wide terraces and balconies you can admire a spectacular view like no other; Gravina Canyon’s stone walls have eroded in the past millenniums to create a deep and more charming than ever canyon.

All rooms are furnished with: private bath, telephone, satellite television, air conditioning, a safe and mini-bar.
The Hotel layout is aligned in rows lending itself to a typical neighbourhood that overlooks courtyards and small town squares and are distributed onto different levels and connected by stairways and landings and retains all of the characteristics of the Sassi’s hypogeum houses. With both the front and the rear being carved from the tufa.
Each dwelling enjoys a spectacular panoramic view conveniently located along the city’s tourist itineraries.
The accurate restoration and transformation of the pre-existing living environments, now richly equipped with modern technology and the complementary services are what makes Hotel Sant’Angelo in a class above all the rest

Need specialist advice for property in Spain? View the PropertyIndex site to find lots of properties!

In spite of the fact that Property Index is seen as a recent organization, they were set up only in March of 2007, they have gained in reputation very quickly. They are a rather simple organization concentrated on servicing anyone proposing to sell, buy, rent or let assets in the most popular regions of the world. Their pledge: to lend you a hand to discover bang-on what’s called for very quickly as well as unproblematically. Property can be bought in most areas of the world today, arguably the most called for area being realty you can purchase in Spain. It should be simply to list a slew of the ripping property for sale in Spain, one motive for selecting property here being a combination of the houses and apartments on the market and the sensational opportunity to live surrounded by this fervent population.

This is one of the truly favored regions today, and in view of the beauty and the great weather that surrounds you night and day, how could you conceivably be wrong… Property in Spain is very rich in history and culture, this realm of the world has been and is still home to a fair number of indigenous civilizations. Around 25-30 years back there was very few of Englishmen looking for property in Spain. Just ask any individual who has chosen to move to Spain and they’re likely to tell you the same. Some people would will call it a craze and others will call it a virtually a fixation… People who are keen on moving over here extend from young couples who are looking for a life perspective to the elderly looking to rest and enjoy themselves.

There could well be catches when attempting to acquire property abroad — there are, of course, a million different, sometimes not very transparent, actions whether planning, paying a visit or finalising. If you miss out on one single minute step it may definitely kick up impassable catches not to forget, preeminently, a financial trouncing. As you would anticipate with this sought after area, property could be pretty upscale in this place which is, of course, merely because of the wide spread market demand. In spite of this homebuyers are spoilt in a region so determined by pleasant surroundings. It actually has all a client could want and then some.
